I was recently trawling good old Google for some references and came across a style of art called paper quilling. By manipulating strips of paper, professional quilling artists can create some amazing work. Take Yulia Brodskaya. An artist and illustrator from Moscow, she has created a reputation for the innovative nature of her artwork and she was named the ‘Breakthrough Star,’ in 2009 by Creative Review magazine. Her work has also been included in the D&AD annuals.
