Vacancy: Senior Social Media Executive

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Social Media Executive to join our Social Media team at Propaganda. You’ll be working across a range of B2C and B2B clients in the health, beauty, finance and fashion industries. Reporting to the Head of Social, you’ll be involved in a range of client briefs from strategy through to implementation.

The Person

You will have a strong understanding of the role of social media for e-commerce clients and a great understanding of how paid and organic social media can work together to achieve specific client KPIs. You won’t be afraid of numbers, and will be familiar with reporting from Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Ads Manager.

A confident team player, you will be able to offer guidance to junior and non-digital team members as well as setting an exemplary high standard in the regular “day job”. You should have a solid understanding of both organic and paid social media and be able to contribute to the client’s strategy with proactive thinking and value adding content.

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with 2+ years experience in a social media role.

The Role

You will be accountable for delivering day to day management of at least two organic and paid social media accounts, as well as contributing to new business opportunities, and be responsible for additional proactive strategic thinking that will ensure that our work is successful for our clients, whether that be within the social media channel or elsewhere.

Key responsibilities

  • Running day-to-day social media accounts for at least two clients in line with an organic social media strategy – coordinating, creating and scheduling content, community management, briefing studio and writing long-form blog posts as required
  • Responsible for allocation and results of a monthly budget for paid social media to achieve specific client KPIs at an efficient cost per result – including campaign set up, advert creative, pixel and catalogue maintenance, reporting and optimisation
  • Write social media strategies for clients with in-house social media capabilities and offering consultancy and reporting on their day-to-day social
  • Consult on discovery briefs for new and existing clients, spotting social opportunities and brainstorming ideas and mechanics
  • Identify areas where we can add value for all clients and supporting on ad hoc paid social media and digital tasks
  • Creative thinking around existing offline or online campaigns and how they might translate into social campaigns to achieve client KPIs
  • Creating monthly reports and identifying areas for improvement based on these and clients commercial requirements
  • Support and inspire junior team members, provide internal training and support where required
  • Communicating and developing supportive and effective relationships with clients and colleagues

Required skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in running social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and Twitter on behalf of a business for both paid and organic social media
  • A great understanding of the role of social media for both FMCG and e-commerce clients’ digital strategy
  • A good understanding and some experience of paid social media and it’s role in supporting an organic social strategy
  • Excellent copywriting and language skills – you’ll be able to adapt your tone of voice for different brands and produce lots of copy quickly and to brief
  • You should be numerate and comfortable with basic data manipulation to produce reports and insight using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to absorb information and pro-actively seek to develop own knowledge and skills
  • Be proactive in recognising opportunities and coming up with ideas in line with current news agenda and social media daily trends
  • Able to forward-plan and prioritise your workload based on client and business requirements
  • Great communication and people skills, able to present your ideas and create positive relationships with clients
