Responsibilities and Duties

Utilising Propaganda’s insights led discovery approach, the digital team is here to offer consultancy, guidance and strategy to grow brands digitally. Our development team specialises in creating platform based websites with a difference. We retain all the advantages of open source, but with cutting edge creativity that you won’t find anywhere else.

Whilst we are fundamentally looking for a technical whizz, it is vital that you will be able to take your technical abilities and apply them practically considering the commercial implications of your work for the client. Responsibilities will include:

  • Full stack set-up and on-going administration eg. LAMP
  • Development of bespoke themes
  • Development of bespoke modules, plug-ins and apps (when required)
  • Functionality and styling changes to existing themes / code bases
  • On-going technical support for brand and e-commerce websites
  • Set-up and configuration of hosting infrastructure, either directly or indirectly
  • Cross browser / device compatibility testing
  • Assisting in the research, scoping and quoting of digital development work
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 2 years web development experience either agency or client side
  • Development experience with Open Source platforms including: Shopify, Wordpress and Magento
  • Development experience with transactional websites
  • Extensive experience of common web standards such as HTML 5, CSS3, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, API’s and MySQL databases
  • Experience of managing / integrating with 3rd party systems such Order Management, Inventory Management and CRM Systems.
  • Application optimisation / configuration such as utilising CDN, Memcache / Redis and Varnish
  • Experience of deploying websites via Source Control eg. GitHub
  • A creative eye and experience with Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator would be an advantage
