What do beer mat illustrations, tornado installations and the world’s smallest portfolio have in common? They’re all interesting, and today’s Thursday. So let’s get down to business.
I love I Love Dust. That’s not a typo, I just love the work of agency ‘I Love Dust’. I’m particularly liking these hand drawn beer mats. So nice you’ll need to pick up your beer to see them. All the more reason to drink beer, win win
The D&AD New blood awards were announced recently. Amongst the array of great work, one piece in particular stood out to me. A great concept for Pantone that brings colour to the streets of Seoul in Monsoon season, thanks to ink that activates when wet, revealing beautiful illustrations.
Another nice student project, proving that big ideas don’t always need to be big. Introducing the world’s smallest portfolio.
These aerial photographs of of Australia’s blue salt fields by photographer Simon Butterworth look surreal, but are absolutely beautiful.
Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka’s Tornado project looks interesting. The installation uses clear white straws to guide visitors through different rooms, thus giving them the feeling of being stuck in a tornado. Stunning.
