Harnessing Yorkshire’s potential

Whether it’s our world-class sporting stars, our arts and culture, our history or our romantic rolling landscapes, Yorkshire has a lot to boast about.

Not only are we a Yorkshire business ourselves, but over the years we’ve had a hand in working alongside some of the best businesses that God’s own county has to offer. In our recent rebranding, we celebrated helping these businesses to succeed, because if there’s something that Yorkshire has gone a long way in proving, it’s that big business isn’t just reserved for the capital.

Over the decades, an array of Yorkshire cities have become nationally important centres for business, finance, culture and politics, paving the way for the Northern Powerhouse. Yet, little has been done, to date, in terms of giving more power and investment to the North, but Yorkshire has still established itself as a thriving business mecca.

The success and prosperity of Yorkshire business is one of the key arguments as to why devolution would be in the county’s best interests. Arguably, the North has been somewhat overlooked and neglected in comparison to the South, but this hasn’t stopped us from showing our business prowess, and it’s something which almost makes it more impressive.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”66248″ media_width_percent=”100″][vc_column_text]Yorkshire already has a wealth of business success stories, many of whom we’ve had the pleasure of working with, including Clipper, ghd and Seabrook. Not only this, but Yorkshire has successfully developed its own established brand and unique identity. So surely this great county is qualified enough to make its own decisions, and as a success in its own right, stands in good stead to be a Northern business hub. What’s more, one of Yorkshire’s major cities, Leeds, is the fastest growing city in the UK, as well as the largest city region economy outside of London.

Even without the levels of monetary and resource investment that other parts of the country have seen, Yorkshire has asserted itself as a place where businesses can flourish. So, imagine the extent to which the county would thrive if it was in control of its own decision making, finances and infrastructure.

In order to yield the best results, Yorkshire needs to unite and work together, building a strong force acting towards the same shared goals. If this can be achieved, then Yorkshire can use its collective voice and influence to represent local people and businesses. As a Yorkshire brand consultancy that’s worked with some of the county’s finest, we know as well as anyone the potential that Yorkshire holds, and it’s about time that this was harnessed and given the backing it deserves.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
