Habitat has appointed the strategic and creative agency, Propaganda, to develop their brand, following an agency review.
The Habitat group is a UK-based international home furnishings retailer with its own retail operations in the UK (38 stores), in France (24 stores), in Spain (6 stores), and in Germany (5 stores), in addition to a large distribution network of retail partners in other countries.
Verdict Research recently reported the 2008 UK homewares market, in which Habitat sits, was valued at £11.4billion and that UK homewares had held up a lot better than larger product categories such as furniture.
New Habitat CEO, Mark Saunders, who recently joined from Levi Strauss Europe, where he was Vice-President of Retail said ‘I confirm that following a review, we have appointed Mike and the team at Propaganda to work with the senior team here at Habitat. They will help us develop our marketing strategy and creative communications moving forwards.”
Propaganda Director, Mike Phillipson said ‘We are delighted to be working with such an iconic brand as Habitat, a business with a unique brand narrative behind it. Over the coming months our work with the brand aims to bring this narrative to life and ultimately drive sales’
