Propaganda Bags Digital Award For Seabrook Crisps
Propaganda, the Leeds-based strategic and creative agency, has been crowned winner at the Insider Digital Awards 2008. The awards, recognises excellence in the new media industry, covering web design strategy, web-based solutions and interactivity.
Propaganda was one of 160 UK entrants and fought off stiff competition from the likes of First Direct, Channel 4 and Virgin Holidays to be awarded 2008 Best Business to Consumer Website winner.
The Seabrook website portrays a wistful, nostalgic view of Britain as, for many, the Seabrook brand epitomises the best qualities of years gone by - straight talking, no-nonsense values and a decent and honest approach. The site offers visitors the opportunity to shop at the old-fashioned village store, as well as access to a wealth of interactive features.
Insider’s editor Peter Baber said: “Propaganda’s work for Seabrook Crisps, itself a Yorkshire institution, wowed the judges as soon as they saw it. It’s a fun site with brilliant graphics and great interactivity too.”
Miike Phillipson at Propaganda commented: “We are delighted to win against such major players in the industry. The Seabrook Crisps website needed to reflect the brand’s personality and heritage, which it does, but in a way that resonates with a younger, more internet-savvy generation.”
He concluded: “Combining our insatiable creative obsession with sound strategic thinking is a real strength of ours. We produce fantastic work for our clients which, most importantly, also delivers tangible and measurable bottom line results.”
